Wow it's been a really long time since I posted an update. I haven't posted since before Homecoming. So. Be ready for lots of pictures.
I finally got another iPod. Thanks to the royal douchebag who stole my 30gb and got an assload of good music. But this one's an 80gb so if you steal it, I'm coming after you.
November was a drama-filled month. But everything's good now. I'm an idiot. But I'm determined to redeem myself.
What else is new? Ummm. I haven't been taking many pictures. I'm not completely failing out of English. I haven't been to fourth period since the beginning of the quarter and somehow only have six cuts. I love Brand New's new album.
Things are, oddly enough, normal.
Leaving for Wisconsin on the 21st. I'm sure there will be lots of pictures.
( ...speaking of pictures )

I finally decided to upload the pictures from my trip down to Southern California. It was lots of fun. Disneyland is one of my favorite places on Earth.
Homecoming is next week. I'm nervous. More so than I was last year. I am slacking and I know it.
I went to the Jack's Mannequin concert on Thursday night in SacState and it was incredible. They played every single song plus a Something Corporate song and a Simon & Garfunkel cover. Plus the three openers were awesome. Derrick makes for good company.
All of you should be proud of me...Hailey is lasting. It's incredible.

I figured I'd post this because people keep wanting to read it. Personal statement for college entrances:
I am I.
We are simply specks of dust in an ever expanding universe and a single person will never be significant to the infinite unless they are significant to themselves first.
I am scared of growing up, not because of the imminence of death, but because of the terrifying responsibilities of attempting to live a successful life in an increasingly materialistic world. The only constant factor in one's life is art. The ability of a single song, three minutes long, to move someone, or change their life and/or attitude inspires me. I can only hope to empower myself to move and inspire others in turn.
I have seen obstacles. I have overcome some, and cowered in the shadows of others. I cannot say I will never give up, because overwhelming odds say that I will. The last thing I want is to follow in my father's path, or anyone else's for that matter. The choices that I make are mine, and mine alone. I am not a liar. I speak bluntly, brashly, and with brutal honesty.
I consider myself technologically intelligent, musically adept, and mathematically stupid. I am ruggedly handsome, yet oddly ugly. I have been known to frequently dance the night away. I am organized, but don't give me anything of yours because I'll probably lose it. By my vote, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is the dullest novel known to man. The answer to food shortages throughout the world is a plate of my locally famous homemade pasta. I probably won't develop the cure for cancer, though I'd like to shake the person's hand who does. I work at a coffee shop, although the scent of "Arabian Mocha-Java" is not the ideal eau de toilette. I took two years of French, but the only fragment of foreign language I can recall is "si."
I do not wish to waste my time with school unless I am actually learning something of significance. The seven-year four-year degree is not my idea of a good time. Things in my past have tied me down, but I have always been able to force my way through the ropes that bind me.
So there.
Last night was amusing. Phil needs to get a little less hyphy next time.

Damn it's been almost a month since I posted.
I tried doing an update like a week and a half ago and the internet reminded me of who's in charge. So I'm posting this due to Madi's consistent nagging.
So much crap. Most recently, Leadership Car Wash always seems to attract the most creepy people. I got a 2.7 on my progress report. I needed a 3.0 in order to not have to pay for my insurance. Owned. If only I were willing to do work.
The Format's show was amazing. And one of the openers, Street To Nowhere was incredible. Thanks Sara for the tickets. Too bad you were lame that day.
Red Hot Chili Peppers' show was also awesome. Except for Kent's weird friend. That kid was fucking odd.
I've been hella fucking busy lately. It's weird. Now if only I could get a decent sized paycheck...
A new girl. We'll see. I'm going into this cautiously, because I know myself and the shitty situations I tend to get backed into. Though, I can't say I'm not giddy as a school girl, 'cause I am.

So finally, after a month and one day of my camera being at the repair shop, it is on it's way home. I had it for three days before I sent it off for repair. Yay me. But it will soon be here. And then updates will follow full of pictures and whatnot.
Yay for you.
Camping in Santa Cruz was wonderful. HOBY kids are amazing. Upstanding citizens, I must say. We swam with dolphins. How fucking rad. Not to mention amazing sunsets and several hours of long deep conversation. And some good on times with the guys of HOBY. Although, I did get a flat tire on the way home. That was noooo fun. Waiting in the hot ass sun for an hour and a half at a Chevron waiting for the tow-truck, and I had to use the payphone to take care of everything cause my phone was dead. Super bad luck.
Angels & Airwaves' show was nothing short of amazing. Tom DeLonge is a rather inspiring individual once you get past the incredibly foul language (not that I have a sparklingly clean mouth). Taking Back Sunday's performance was gimicky and mediocre as I expected. The whole mic-swinging thing really needs to stop. Mad props to Ashley for giving me that trip for my birthday. The air conditioning in my car went out on the way home from sac the next morning though, and I drove an hour and a half in my boiling ass car. It's all fixed now though. The brakes are squeaking however. And it's annoying the shit out of me.
Red Hot Chili Peppers soon.
Journey's show is coming up.
The Format's also. Score for that.
And Jack's Mannequin during October Break. Sounds like a good fucking concert season.
High school has started. My last year. After that LMC. I'm not looking forward to having actual responsibilities after this year. It's already started. My mom lost her job because her company was bought out so we're kindof running on empty right now. A huge chunk of my paycheck is going to start going into getting our shit together.
School has been good. It's gonna be an easy year. No first period, Leadership second, English 4 with my leadership teacher, then Applied Career Math with the eversoqualified Mr. Hoskins. I like my English class. I'm thinking. It's weird. I haven't actually learned a goddamn thing in English since Mr. Zahn's in eigth grade. That dude was rad. Summer really is an excellent thought-provoking teacher.
Homecoming prep has begun. I love my l-ship comission.
I'm a feelingood guy right now. I'm digging it.
I'm starting to write music again. I like that.
Goodnight. I'm tired and my neck hurts from going super dumb and getting hella hyphy at the Back 2 School Dance last night. I love Liberty.

These chords remain
We use them to exploit the friends
We've since forgot those friends we've lost
You all know just who you are
Cause I've since made grace
But I'm too scared to etch the names
For fear that I'm the one who's changed.
Well the thought of death it scares me to death
And I don't know why I don't know
It's just too much
To never wake up
I love myself some Format.
Anyways. Quick update before I leave again. Brand New was fucking awesome. Gah. There's something about an entire theatre singing Soco Amaretto Lime that fucking moves you.
My cat is annoying the shit out of me.
Camping was... meh. I got drunk one night and got really sick and my parents found out. That was interesting. But I'm not grounded at all. I was really shitty. I got lucky as hell.
I was hitting on girls left and right all week. It was rediculous. I'm almost ashamed.
Leaving tomorrow again to camp with HOBY kids in santa cruz. I want my fucking camera back NOW. It's still "In Repair."
Ugh. Time to sleep. I get back Thursday. Saturday is the Taking Back Sunday/Angels&Airwaves/HeadAutomatica/TheSubways concert and I'm wearing my Brand New shirt that blatantly insults TBS. I'm pumped. Lauren thinks I'm gonna get my ass jumped. We'll see.

Happy Birthday America!
And a day it was. I wish my camera were fixed for that. Some real awesome sights. Went to Lauren's in the YoC and her dad barbequed us some grubbin food and we watched Narnia. Second day in a row I was at her house watching a movie. I brought her dad books today. Thennnn we saw Shelby, and then left to find a hill. We found one. It was excellent. The sky was completely clear. We could see all the way to Benicia on one end and Stockton on the other. Watched a gorgeous sunset. Then waited a half hour till the fireworks came. During which, we were entertained by a family who had brought weedwackers to the top of the hill to clear themselves a spot, and a fairly cheery older man with a camera and beer. Oh, and the cutest thing you'll ever see: a guy was hiking up our goddamn steep ass climb carrying a girl, we assumed she was his girlfriend, and then set her down, ran back down the hill, came running back up with her wheelchair, and placed her in it. I was almost teary, I swear.
Annnnyways. The fireworks came. From all directions. We saw Brentwood's, Oakley's, Pittsburg's, and Antioch's fireworks in all their glory from that single hilltop. It was really way incredible.
Hmm, next we get in Lauren's green beetle (ew) and drive to McDonald's and then around Antioch for a half hour, during which we saw a huge fire that was burnin up over by Contra Loma. I miss that little resevoir thing. Apparently you can't swim in there anymore. STUPID.
Thenn we got back to her house, I went to put my stuff in my car and realized I didn't have my keys. I had set them on the blanket back at the top of the hill. We go back, I climb my unfit ass back up, kick and feel around with the only light coming from my cell phone. For fifteen minutes I looked for those goddamn keys. Nowhere to be found. I'm pretty positive nobody took them though. It's way too dark to see anything. So my mom had to come give me the spare keys to my car. Hmph. I'll find those fucking keys one day, I swear.
Sorry to Lauren for keeping her up when she has summer school tomorrow. But thanks to Lauren for a really good night. I swear, it was that infinite feeling.
Thanks to people 230 years ago who allowed me to have such a great night.

Hmmmmmmmk. Went to Saratoga this last weekend with about 16 fellow HOBY-ers. Gosh those kids can be fun. We were there for a Relay For Life. Yay for walking against cancer.
I bought the new Dashboard cd the day it came out, on Tuesday. With the money that I don't have because I'm broke and not getting any hours at Peet's. Ohhhhwell. I enjoyed the cd. Definitely different from past DC stuff. Not nearly as depressing or "emo" as some would call it. It's a lot more uplifting. Great listen. Promised to piss off 90% of Dashboard's fans simply because it's not the same as the last two albums.
I want to see Superman. And I want to see Lady In The Water when it comes out. And Clerks 2 on July 21st. Simply because the first Clerks film was excellently hilarious.
I'm sick. Thanks to Cara. We played Clue. I stomped her ass.
I've been doing tons of stuff. Hanging out with tons of friends. Definitely unlike my past introvertious (if that's a word) summers.

I've been doing tons of stuff. Hanging out with tons of friends. Definitely unlike my past introvertious (if that's a word) summers.

Noise:: Tiger Lily by Matchbook Romance
I don't want to speak these words.
Because I don't wanna make things any worse.
Alright. So. I'm still not recovered sleep-wise.
So Thursday I went and saw The Matches and Matchbook Romance for free in San Jose. How sweet was that!? Freaking great. I met some cool new kids. And had some good times with some rad old kids.
Friday night?
Headed over to Jeanette's house expecting to talk about stuff that we need to talk about, walk through the front door, into the kitchen where 30 people are standing huddled up in the corner yelling "Surprise!"
It was way fun. Lots of people. Pictures of Jeanette and I allll over the place. Chase gave me douche, the Everhart brothers gave me several random things as expected, including but not limited to: a can of chili, Parents Magazine, and a tea bag.
Pictures from both events will be posted when I get them. Jeanette had two disposable cameras for people to use that she's going to give me once they're developed.
Oh and I ordered my camera yesterday. Aasd;flkjasd;lf. My mom paid for express shipping so I get it in like three days. Creaming my jeans for sure.
Father's Day was lame. Duh.
I'm in a good mood though. Ha. Night.

Flirty. Haha.
Noise:: Sun (Acoustic) by Mae
It's what I've asked for, It's what I've needed.
Life was always back and forth.
I was idling and making useless progress.
Waiting for the rain to stop.
Destination: Beautiful.
Seems that I'm still waiting for the sun.
I've decided this school year I'm starting new. Everybody from the past will be gone. It's time for me to become actually be the person I really am. If that makes sense.
I'm happy with where my band is going. I feel like we're making good music.
I'll be getting my camera within the month. I'm hellof excited. Sony Cybershot DSC-H2.
My new beginning starts July 31st. I'm going to tear myself away.

The Sky Will Never Look The Same Again

I feel:
pensive
Noise:: Suitcase by Joe Purdy
This last week I've felt good. It's been full of intelligent conversations and, in particular, one new situation that I'm very excited for.
However, I came to a realization today, around 5:30 AM while sitting on the football field that I am alone next year. Ever since 8th grade or so I've always made better friends with people that were older than me. I never did this on purpose, those were just the people I got along with the best. Next year, there's no one older than me. Who do I have left? Have I already burned those bridges of people who I used to spend time with? Even if I haven't, do I even want to be around them?
Thanks to Sara for sticking around for another two years.
Saying Goodbye:
5:30 AM June 10th. After grad night. Goodbye 2006. Sorry for the horrible horrible quality of the pictures. Camera phone. None of us had cameras on us.

There were crying. It was touching. I was staring at the sky.

State Of The Union

Freaking Yeah.
Noise:: State Of The Union by David Ford
Let me start out by saying I do not believe in what our President is doing. It's quite ignorant and really makes me shit a brick.
So HOBY is definitely made up of the most amazing people I have ever met. Those people are the hardest working and most dedicated persons alive. I had nearly forgotten how much I loved this organization.
For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, you don't really matter.
HOBY is a youth leadership organization and this past weekend I was a junior staff member for the Northern California sector. It's for outSTANDing sophomores in high school who are selected by their city's Lion's Club, high school counselors, etc. I had the EXCELLENT opportunity to become known as "JB," aka Julie's Bitch. However, that is beside the point. I'm sorry, I may lingered off on a tangent. To be totally honest, I'm not sure why I started writing in the first place. I haven't had much sleep since Thursday. I've spent three days with the most incredible kids you could ever become in contact with. I suppose it was simply my way of giving back to an organization that has given me so much. So thank you HOBY. Thank you Julie. Thank you Lizzy. Thank you fellow members of the JCrew. You are all awesome awesome awesome people.
I don't know this girl.

And I'm so freaking in love with Ashley.
